Confidentiality is arguably one of the most important, yet problematic aspects of domestic violence work. As advocates and others attempt to protect victim safety, effective relationships between community partners are often challenged. As information is rapidly becoming digitized, we are struggling to keep up with the dangers and difficulties the technologically-based world presents to victims. The foundation of successful coordination is clarity on the issue of confidentiality in domestic violence cases, and emphasizing how we should (and shouldn't) be using new technology to protect safety. This course is a series of recordings from "Confidentiality in the Digital Age", a workshop presented by Cindy Southworth of NNEDV, and Detective Deidre Fishel from the State College Police Department (PA).
